Pickens County Public Safety Awards

The 3^rd Annual Public Safety Appreciation Dinner, organized by the Rotary Club of Jasper and Georgia Mountains Hospice, was held on Tuesday evening at Chattahoochee Technical College. Public safety employees throughout Pickens County were recognized for their sacrifice and service to others. During this event, departments throughout the county chose an Employee of the Year from their department to be recognized and receive an award. At the end, the event organizers chose one of the Employees of the Year to be awarded the Medal of Valor.

Rules Amendment – Contractor Transponders

An amendment to the rules to allow vetted contractors to purchase transponders has been presented to the Board of Directors, who will have an opportunity to vote on it at the Board meeting Tuesday, November 14^th.
