Bent Tree Bears – Back in Action

With the arrival of spring comes increased bear activity within the community. Bent Tree Safety & Emergency Management has already received reports of bear activity near homes and the roadways. One of the many reasons we enforce our community speed limit of 20 MPH is to ensure unaware animals, like bear cubs, do not get struck by a vehicle. Please drive slowly and watch for wildlife!

Brushfire Incident – 4/1/23

Saturday afternoon, 4/1/23, a downed powerline caused a brushfire between Little Pine Mountain Road and Mountain Breeze Lane. The fire was discovered by Chief Beavers while patrolling for road hazards. Eight more members of the Bent Tree Fire Department immediately responded to the scene, six of which from off-duty.
