CAMPGROUND STORAGE POLICY UPDATE

We want to remind everyone that the Bent Tree campground storage policy was updated in September. If you currently rent space there or are interested in doing so, please review the policy at the link below. Some items being stored currently will no longer be allowed beginning in January 2026. Anyone continuing to rent storage space at the campground or wishing to in 2026 will be asked by Admin to complete a new registration form when making a payment. We ask any residents who have items now prohibited at the campground to remove them by January 16th, 2026. Thank you for your cooperation.

Public Safety Day 2025

Thank you to the Bent Tree Foundation, those who attended, and the residents who contributed their time and money to make the 4th annual Public Safety Day event a major success. Special thanks also to the Pickens County FD for bringing their Fire Safety Funhouse. Unfortunately the Life Flight helicopter could not land due to cloud cover, but everyone still had a great time. Our goal of providing educational and fun experiences to the community was accomplished. All the stations and activities were very popular and the kids had a blast!

There have also been some reports of bears frequenting areas they have not in the past. This could be as simple as their travel patterns changing or intentional or negligent practices attracting them to homes in the area. It is very difficult to know without thoroughly investigating each circumstance.
