Bent Tree Community is pleased to offer residents the opportunity to participate in the Knox HomeBox® Model 1501 program — a voluntary safety enhancement designed to assist first responders during emergency situations.
 
During emergencies, responders may encounter locked doors. When immediate access is required and no one is able to answer, forced entry may result in unnecessary property damage. The Knox HomeBox is a secure, tamper-resistant key vault mounted discreetly on the exterior of your home. Inside is a house key accessible only to authorized emergency personnel through a strictly controlled master key system.
 
Installation Process
Bent Tree Public Safety coordinates scheduling and professional installation in a secure, discreet location. Placement ensures emergency accessibility while maintaining the appearance of the home. Installation is completed efficiently and documented for emergency response reference.
 
Important to Know
The Knox HomeBox is for emergency access only. Residents who wish to provide vendors with a key to access their home for services may still maintain a key on file with Bent Tree Public Safety to be checked out at the gate. The Knox HomeBox will not be used for non-emergency purposes.

Installation & Cost
Professional installation is included. The complete cost for the Knox HomeBox and installation is $295.00. Participation is completely voluntary.

Placing an Order
Forms to place an order are at the Front Gate, Administration building, and in the Public Safety section of the Bent Tree website under the “Public Safety Forms & Resources” dropdown menu. Simply complete the form and turn it in to Admin or Public Safety with payment via cash, check, or credit card. Public Safety will contact residents upon receipt of the Knox HomeBox and coordinate the installation date and time. We expect a short turnaround time of approximately two weeks between orders and installation.
