PUBLIC SAFETY DAY - RECAP AND THANKS Our department is truly grateful for those who volunteered their time, donated food and supplies, and/or attended our inaugural Public Safety Day event this past Saturday. Great thanks also go to the Pickens County Fire & Rescue for bringing their Fire Safety Fun House, which was a huge hit. Because of everyone’s support, our goal of providing fun, educational, and memorable experiences regarding fire safety to the community was successful. We have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from the community regarding Public Safety Day, and we promise to make it an annual event. Almost all Public Safety employees and our great volunteer firefighters with Buildings and Grounds volunteered their time to ensure all the stations and activities were staffed. It was a great demonstration of the care and commitment the first responders of Bent Tree have for the community, and the overwhelming support from residents is greatly appreciated.
