Public Safety is committed to ensuring the security of our community by properly clearing guests. Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas bring an influx of guests to the gate, potentially resulting in major backups affecting both entrance lanes. We need residents’ help with the following items to prevent these backups from occurring.
- Use GateHouse to input your guests. GateHouse is an online guest management service that can be accessed via computer or app on your phone/tablet. Once set up with GateHouse, residents can add their own guests, send electronic passes, and be automatically notified of guests’ arrival at the gate. When residents enter guests on their own, it reduces phone calls at the gate and frees Public Safety to clear arriving guests much more efficiently. If you need assistance resetting your credentials or getting set up with GateHouse, call Public Safety. The Client Code you may be prompted to enter on the app is 190190. Take advantage of this great service, and click the following link to access the GATEHOUSE GUIDE.
- Notify Public Safety of all holiday guests at least 2 days PRIOR to Thanksgiving and Christmas. We understand that some residents will not be comfortable with Gatehouse, and that is OK. However, if you must call in guests, please do so well in advance of their arrival. The gate becomes much busier as these holidays approach, so please notify Public Safety of all guests as soon as possible.
- Email or drop off guest lists at the front gate. With increased activity at the gate, time for phone calls is limited. If you must call in more than two guests, please email a list to [email protected], and make sure to specify your name, address, and the time frame your guest will be staying. You can also drop off guest lists at the front gate.
- Prepare guests for arrival. Upon arrival at our gate, guests should be prepared to advise the name and address of who they are visiting and have their driver’s license ready to display to gate attendants. To preserve efficient gate entry, visitors who arrive without this information, or who have not been properly cleared will have to turn around and return when ready. You must possess a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in Bent Tree. Drivers who do not have one will not be allowed to enter.
- The community speed limit is 20 MPH unless posted otherwise. Although this will not affect efficiency of gate operations, we strongly encourage residents to remind their guests that Public Safety strictly enforces our speed limit for the safety of the community.
We are confident that if residents and guests help with the above items, community safety will be preserved with major delays avoided. Have a great and safe holiday season.
