To provide residents at the dog park or near the back gate a reliable means of summoning emergency services, an Emergency 911 phone has been installed. As pictured above, it is on the back side of the security building facing vehicles leaving Bent Tree. Read on to learn all the vital details.
- The phone is only capable of dialing 911. You must physically dial 911 from the phone to connect with Pickens 911.
- The address for this 911 phone is 40 Grandview Gate Drive, if asked by the dispatcher. However, that address should come up in their system automatically when the call is received.
- The phone is contained in a weatherproof box with a latch that must be opened to get inside the box.
To access the phone, view pictures and steps below:
1. Pull the primary latch on the right side of the phone box toward the front of the box.
2. Push the front cover of the phone box forward (closed) and move the secondary latch to the right.
3. With the secondary latch now in the open position, pull the front cover of of the phone box open to the left.
4. The phone cover opens to the left to access the emergency phone contained inside.
Please call Bent Tree Safety & Emergency Management at 770-893-2628 if you have further questions regarding the new phone.
