It is very important for everyone to have and practice a home escape plan in case of a fire. The vast majority of people will never experience the tragedy of a housefire. Therefore, it’s easy to just forget about the threat they pose or believe it will never happen to you. Unfortunately, that mindset is what leads to terrible outcomes in emergency situations. Home fires should be taken very seriously and planned for.
If you do not have a home escape plan, please take the time to create one as soon as possible. We recommend practicing your plan on a monthly basis. Please follow the link below to our website to access a short video with more details. The video, and some of those that are upcoming, are somewhat geared toward children. The information is valuable for all ages though, and we do encourage parents to involve their children in fire safety education.
