Public Safety has begun deactivating transponders that were not renewed per the instructions previously provided. If you have not renewed your transponders, here is everything you need to know:
- The fee this year for transponders is $35 per vehicle. This can be paid in cash or check at the Front Gate or with credit card at Admin. Two transponders are included with your annual fees. If you pay for additional vehicles at Admin, please provide proof of payment to Public Safety.
- All transponders need to be renewed, even the two included with your annual fees. The primary reason for this is to ensure all vehicle and transponder information is current and correct. Renewing your transponders can be done in one of two ways:
- Bring the vehicles with transponders being renewed to the front gate for inspection by Public Safety. This option is obviously not ideal if you have several vehicles. However, it is in place to help residents who have a hard time seeing the transponder numbers.
OR
- Complete the following “Resident, Vehicle, & Transponder Info” form and email back to public safety or drop it off at the Front Gate. These forms can also be picked up at the Front Gate or Admin. It is important to put all vehicles associated with your account on this form, including transponders you have purchased for family and friends. Resident, Vehicle, & Transponder Info
- Transponder numbers
are not the big numbers on windshield decals that were used years ago. Please click the following link to access detailed information on how to obtain the number from your transponder.
Transponder Number Instructions
- Vehicles with deactivated transponders will not be able to enter Bent Tree through the back gate or right lane of the front gate. In these situations, you will need to enter through the interior front gate lane and speak with the gate operator about updating your account.
- Based on staffing, it is strongly recommended that people come to the front gate for transponder renewals between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM every day of the week.
- Residents with questions or the need for any special assistance should contact Director Michael Koorey via email at
[email protected] or phone at 770-893-2628.
