Location: the Library is housed in the Cottage located across from the Recycling Center, near the front gate.
When: The Library is open every day, 8 am- 8 pm.
Description: A team of community volunteers manages “The Bent Tree Library” for everyone’s enjoyment; both to borrow books and to contribute them. The “honor system” is the policy; borrow and return as you like keeping in mind the reading pleasure of others. We accept both hardbacks and paperbacks; see guidelines below.
LIBRARY PROCEDURES: Returns and donations may be left only during library hours and should be placed in the library return bin, not in the community room or kitchen area, or outside the building. Please do not bring a lot of older books that you have weeded out from your own personal collection that we cannot add to the library collection. We don’t have room, and volunteers must gather and take them to the Community Thrift Store. We do welcome bestselling authors and books in a popular series.
We always have room for new volunteers, so if you are interested please email Claudia Gibson at
[email protected] or call 706-974-8836.
Contribution Guidelines: Due to space considerations we must limit the materials we accept. Your cooperation in fo9llowing these guidelines will be most appreciated by all the volunteers.
n We accept paperbacks or hardcover books published from 2012 to present
n We do not accept Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, textbooks, reference books, or cookbooks.
n Please no magazines.
n Please take donation items not on this list to the Community Thrift Store. They will be happy to get them and you can get a tax deduction.
