Large one-time projects that require significant resources are accomplished with the leadership of L&W Special Projects. Often these initiatives are a joint effort of L&W, BTCI, and the Bent Tree Foundation. 2020 saw the building of the Sallie Doss Nature Center pavilion, in 2021 a kayak launch was installed, and in 2022 an accessible walkway was built at Sallie Doss.
